Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center
The Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium will serve as one of the Football venues during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The stadium lies inside the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center on the Hebei Avenue.
Its construction was started in May 2002 and completed on July 30, 2004. The sports center covers 168,000 square meters and the Olympic standard stadium has a seating capacity of 33,572, 0.2% of which are reserved for the disabled persons.
Attractions to See
Beidaihe Scenic Area: Beidaihe Scenic Area begins from the estuary of Daihe river in the west and ends at pigeon nest and Jinshanzui in the east, covering a whole span of 13 km from the east to the west. It is about 2 km wide from the south to the north, with the Bo Hai bay to its south and Lianfeng Mountain to its north. It is a famous summer resort as well as a recreational and recuperation resort, which has been ratified as the state list sites of scenic beauty and historic interest.
Old Dragon Head: The Great Wall appears like a huge dragon with its head ducking deep into Bo Hai to paddle in the water and frolic among the waves, so the place is popularly called “Old Dragon Head”. It is located in the area 5 km south of the Shanhai Guang city, which is one of the most essential parts in the military safety defense system of the Ming Great Wall, and one of the most important scenic spots in Shanhai Pass Scenic Area.
Funing Nandaihe International Entertainment center: Funing Nandaihe International Entertainment Center is a large scale state-owned tourist enterprise. And it is composed of four units, namely, the Ocean Amusement park, Fairy Shell Island, Amusement Park on the sea, and Nandaihe Hotel. It is one of the national 4A level Scenic Area.
Yangsai Lake Tourist Area:Yansai Lake Tourist Scenic Spot, namely, the Shihe Reservoir, lies at the foot of Yanshan Mountain with the ancient city and fortress on the neighborhood, in this sense, it got the name “Yansai Lake”. Yansai Lake Tourist Scenic Spot is one of the important component parts of the Longevity Mountain national forest park.

Qinhuangdao has been chosen as a summer resort in China for many years because of the city’s distinctive quality of being able to provide cool settings and refreshing air in the stressful summer. The climate is changeable and big differences in temperature are common. It is necessary to bring warm clothing.
