Serving as one of the Football venues, the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium covers 78,000 square meters and has a seating capacity of 60,000. The project went into construction in August 2003 and is due for completion in 2006.

Tianjin Introduction

Tianjin lies 120 kilometers southeast of Beijing on the Bohai Sea. It is a historic city and the largest industrial base and trade center in northern China. The Xingang Harbor is the largest commercial commodities port in northern China and is the largest the largest container dock. One of the specialties of the place is the two day kite-flying festival held in early April or late September.

Dabei Buddhist Monastery: The Dabei Buddhist Monastery is made up of two parts: old monastery and new monastery. The old monastery refers to the three great halls in the west yard. The construction of the old monastery was start in the beginning of Qing Dynasty and was renovated in the eighth ruling year of Kangxi Emperor in Qing Dynasty.

Huangyaguan Great Wall: Huangya, means "yellow cliff". This section of the Great Wall takes its name from the yellowish hills and rocks nearby. Originally built in Tianbao 7th of Beiqi (557 A D), the Huangyaguan was repaired for the first time in Ming Dynasty with bricks and for the second time in 1985. In 1986 it is listed as a key relics protection target of Tianjin city.

Tianjin Historical Museum: In the museum the jade articles are well exhibited, through which you could find the whole development of the Chinese bowlder technology. Among them, there is a Red Mountain Culture Jade Pig Dragon, which is also called Beast-shaped Article. The material of this article is turquoise cave rock jade which shapes like a letter C with a big head, two ears upright, and two eyes round and carved in shade, mouth forward, wrinkled around the nose, no stripe on the body and two little holes on the back.

Confucius Temple: The Confucian Temple was begun building in the first year of Emperor Zhengtong’s ruling period in Ming Dynasty (1436), and then experienced the renovations and enlargement in the ruling period of Emperor Tianshun and Wanli in Ming Dynasty and Kangxi, Qianlong in Qing Dynasty.
